Every year I set off in mountains to enjoy variety of autumn colours in their full splendour in mountains of Slovakia.
The Strážovské Vrchy in central Slovakia has a lot to offer. Each fall beech forest in the area became multicoloured. Colours change every day, then suddenly, almost overnight, most of the colours are gone. This change takes place in the middle through the end of October.
Because of great network of marked tourist paths and trails, every hiker or nature lover can walk there within limits of his physical strength and abilities.

After sunset. View from Vápeč Peak. The glow in the skies starts to appear about 10 minutes after actual sunset. Those who left from the look-out point on the peak immediately after the sun set, had seen no vivid colours! There were some people on the peak who failed to see this spectacle.

Being in the Carpathian Mountains, a picture of sheep is a must to do. They are part of the landscape there.
